Bale,Reguilon Expected To Travel to London on Friday To Complete Spurs Moves

Real Madrid duo Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon will travel to London on Friday, September 18, to complete their respective moves to Tottenham Hotspur.

The former will arrive on a season-long loan spell, while the latter will join on a permanent basis for 30 million euros plus add-ons, with Los Blancos retaining a 40 million euro buy-back option for the first two seasons.

Thursday marks Bale and Reguilon’s last day at Valdebebas, and Friday will see them leave early in the morning as they fly to London and go directly to Spurs’ training ground.

Real Madrid acknowledge that Bale is very close to sealing a deal to return to the Premier League, but some outstanding issues between the player and the English club still need to be cleared up.

In addition, besides Jose Mourinho giving the move the green light, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been key in the deal for Bale, who is nearing a return to the club he left to join Real Madrid in 2013.

This also solves a headache for Zinedine Zidane, with the Frenchman clear that he wanted the 31-year-old to leave the club this summer.

Assuming that nothing goes awry in the negotiations between Bale’s camp and Levy, the Welshman will become a Spurs player on Friday.

It should not be forgotten that both players must meet all the requirements demanded by the English government for them to enter the country from Spain, an aspect that is also adding a layer of difficulty.
