Moses Nkonge Kibalama, the purportedly elected President of the National Unity Platform and the Secretary-General Simbwa Kagombe have opened new party headquarters in Najanakumbi along Entebbe Road.
According to a delegates conference that was held recently, Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine who has been the party president was dismissed and appointed the new Secretary for Foreign Affairs while David Lewis Rubongoya the Secretary-General was replaced with Simbwa Kagombe among other changes.
The party leaders also wrote to the Electoral Commission and the European Union in Uganda, notifying them of the changes of leadership in the Party.
“In accordance with the Political Parties and Organizations Act as amended, please receive the list of newly elected leaders of the party,” reads part of the letter to the Electoral Commission.
