Breaking News: NBS TV Journalist Sheilah Nakabuye Is Dead

 

It’s a sad Monday morning for the Naguru based NBS Television and the media fraternity in Western Uganda and Uganda as a whole after the untimely passing on of Sheilah Nakabuye.

Nakabuye who has been working as the NBS TV station Bureau chief in South Western Uganda based in Mbarara city passed on this morning at Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital.

Nakabuye has been pregnant and gave birth to a live baby girl on Saturday morning May 15 at a private medical facility.

According to Nakabuye’s mother, she suffered seizures shortly after giving birth and slipped into a coma. She was then rushed to Mbarara Regional referral hospital before doctors announced her death on Monday morning.

“She had pre-eclampsia which was not managed early, she was in a coma by last night. She had seizures that affected the brain.” Nakabuye’s Mother revealed.

Born in Butambala district, Sheilah had Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the Uganda Pentecostal University Fort Portal.

She in 2016 joined Next Media Group- NBS TV until her demise. She had a special interest in covering vulnerable groups especially women and children.
