Covid-19: Ministry Of Health Confirms 1,026 New Covid-19 Cases

Kampala: According to the latest update from the ministry of health, COVID-19 tests done on 05 June 2021 confirmed 1,026 new cases bringing the cumulative confirmed cases to 53,961 with Kampala recording the highest number of cases.

The Ministry registered cases from; Kampala (700) Soroti (100) Wakiso (69) Gulu (34) Mbarara (28) Tororo (18) Luwero (15) Buikwe (9) Mbale (9) Busia (7) Yumbe (7) Manafwa (5) Kiruhura (3) Pader (3) Namisindwa (2) Oyam (2) Katakwi (1) Amuru (6) Jinja (1) Kyotera (1) and 4 Truck Drivers.

 

Global tally for the coronavirus cases rose to 173.34 million on Monday, according to data aggregated by Johns Hopkins University, while deaths increased to 3,730,065.

On a global basis, India was second in cases at 28.91 million on Monday, followed by Brazil at 16.95 million, according to JHU data, while Brazil was second in deaths at 473,404 and India was third at 349,186.
