EC Speaks About Omoro By-election Amid Bribery and Intimidation Claims

Electoral Commission officials in Omoro District have revealed that they will organize a free and fair election for the Omoro County By-election.

Moses Kagona the returning officer says the campaigns have so far been smooth and free of chaos.

As the campaigns for the candidates of the Omoro County By-election come to an end, the opposition National Unity Platform has continued to intensify its hunt for votes in the region.

NUP party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has also been in the area conversing for votes.

NUP supporters were also seen making rounds around the Omoro district cheering and merrymaking

The NRM camp on the other hand is also preparing for the arrival of its leader and President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni who will be in the district to campaign for NRM Candidate Andrew Ojok Oulanyah.

Moses Kagona the returning officer of Omoro District is confident that the election this time round will be free and fair despite the allegations from the NUP camp

The electoral commission says that the campaigns have so far been smooth and violence-free.

Today, NRMs Andrew Ojok spent most of his time campaigning in the sub-counties of Orapwoyo, Odek, Lalogi ne Lakwana.

The elections will be held on the 26th of this month, The Omoro County seat fell vacant after the death of former Speaker of Parliament and MP Jacob Oulanyah
