Express Fc unveils full squad ahead of battle with Al Merrikh SC in Sudan

The reigning Uganda Premier League champions Express FC have already touched the ground in Sudan where they are meant to lock horns with giants Al Merrikh SC.

Express FC traveling team departed the country yesternight on Tuesday at 11:45 PM to get them to Sudan where they are to be hosted by Al Merrikh SC in the CAF Champions League preliminary round return leg. The first leg played at the St. Mary’s Stadium came to a conclusion with the Red Eagles earning a 2:1 victory, an advantage they carried to Sudan for their return leg encounter on Friday 17th September 2021.

“WE’VE PREPARED WELL AND WE SHALL DEFINITELY DO A GOOD JOB, THE TEAM IS AWARE ABOUT THE JOB AT HAND AND THEY ALL WANT TO PROGRESS TO THE FIRST ROUND SO WE HOPE WE ARRIVE SAFELY AND EXECUTE THE GAME PLAN.” Head coach Wasswa Bossa via the club media.

Wasswa Bossa, like in the first leg, shall not be part of the technical bench as his CAF B coaching qualifications are below the minimum that CAF can tolerate.

The game is on this Friday 17th September 2021 at 8 PM in Khartoum, Sudan.
