Gabriel to Arsenal: Done deal

It is now clear that Gabriel Magalhaes will sign for Arsenal, as Napoli took a step back, with multiple reports confident the Lille defender will sign tonight.
Lille had essentially agreed a transfer fee with Napoli, Arsenal and even Everton at €30m, including various bonuses.
The Partenopei had the upper hand, but were unable to complete the move, as they first had to sell Kalidou Koulibaly, Arkadiusz Milik or Nikola Maksimovic.
Lille defender Gabriel Magalhaes is set for a £27million move to Arsenal– after completing a medical with the Premier League club.

As those deals are dragging on, Arsenal surged forward with improved terms for both Lille and the 22-year-old centre-back.
The Times, Telefoot and others are now confident the final details are being put in place and Gabriel could sign for the Gunners this evening.
It’ll be a five-year contract for the Brazilian defender.
Manchester United also made a late approach, but the negotiations with Arsenal were already too far advanced.
It has already been made clear that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is in for a busy summer as he looks to replenish his squad.
