Government Releases Nigerian Artists Arrested Over The Weekend For Violating Covid-19 Guidelines

The  Government of Uganda  has released the two Nigerian Artists including Stanley Omah Didia and  Muyiwa Awoniyi  who were arrested over the weekend for violating Covid-19 Guidelines in Uganda.

In a statement titled  Release Order from Magistrate’s court of Makindye  to Kitalya Prison where the two have been detained indicates that the accused should be released and the cases have been withdrawn against them.

”This to direct you to release Muyiwa AWoninyi and  Stanely  Omah didia the said accused persons from your custody forthwith unless held on other charges” reads part of the statement.

According to the statement, the two were charged with the offence of neglect act likely to spread of infection disease section 171 of penal code Act.
