Interpol directorate to Automate Issuance of Certificates of good conduct

The Interpol directorate of Uganda Police has said they’re soon exhaustively automating the system for admeasurement of the certifications of good conduct to assure smooth service delivery.
Addressing correspondents moment, Interpol director, Senior Commissioner of Police Charles Birungi said the system for employment of certifications of good conduct was made online in July and that since either they’ve not got overpowering numbers as it takes between four to five days to get the certification.

He also noted that they’re working with their counterparts from the ICT directorate and the Forensics directorate to see that the system is exhaustively automated and this time will reduce the staying duration to two days. The Interpol director said they’re soon shifting their operations specifically for processing and issuance of letters of good conduct to a more spacious place at the Police headquarters in Naguru to victual for the ever-swelling numbers. He noted that before the lockdown, they used to take over 500 people applying for certificates of good conduct per day but noted this was limited to only 150 during the lockdown and is now at 250 per day adding that this has led to a backlog and they said can be reduced by shifting to the large place. He adds that members of the public are warranted to pay only UGX 76000 only for certificates of good conduct and that it can be paid through the bank, mobile money or visa cards.
Birungi alerted members of the public against being defrauded by paying another than UGX 76000.
