Ismah Olaxess’ brand ambassador contract terminated over offensive communication

Home Connect Properties Uganda limited has terminated the Brand ambassador contract with city blogger Isma Olaxess over what they termed as offensive communication.

This week, blogger Ismah Olaxess took to his Facebook account “Jaaja Ichuli” and attacked government officials for having so much hatred for Muslims.

Isma said he is disgusted at the fact that all suspects of the recent bomb explosions in Kampala named by police had Moslem names.

According to Isma, the government is using the incidents to tarnish the image of Muslims in the country. He went ahead and wished the explosions had happened inside Parliament and killed parliamentarians most especially Speaker Jacob Oulanyah.

“I want terrorists to put a bomb in Parliament so you can learn. You hate Muslims so much. Oulanyah, I want them to bomb and kill you for the hate you have on Muslims. Whatever happens, you put it on Muslims. Now I support the terrorists,” He said in a video.

However, this seems to have not gone well with one of his bosses thus terminating his contract with immediate effect.

“We have terminated the brand ambassador contract with Ismah Olaxes aka Jjaja Ichuli.

“The offensive communication video has since gone viral for the detriment and loss of Home Connect properties Uganda Limited that you have represented as a brand ambassador since August 2021. The company hereby wishes to distance itself from such criminal, extremist and fundamentalist views that you shared in that video,” A statement from the company reads.

“The company will not hesitate to commence any criminal and civil proceedings against you , if you ever refer to it in your social media videos or communications,” The company added.

Statement from home connect properties.

Isma who later realised that his statements had done more harm than good apologised saying that he was taken by emotions.

“I am now sober, I acknowledge I said the wrong words that shouldn’t come from a leader of my calibre, I fully take responsibility and apologise for my actions. I request my followers and leaders of this beautiful nation to consider my apologies and disassociate me from supporting any wrongdoing,” He said.
