Masaka Killings: MPs Ssegirinya, Ssewanyana Released on police bond after hours of grilling

embers of parliament Hon Mohammed Ssegirinya and Allan Ssewanyana have been released on a one-day police bond after they were arrested on Monday.

The pair were summoned to record statements at CID in relation to allegations they were the masterminds behind the dreaded Masaka Killings that have left more than 30 people dead

The two legislators who Vehemently deny the accusations were detained after recording the statements.

Police spokesperson Fred Enanga revealed that the two were implicated by some of the suspects in custody who were arrested in relation to the murders.

He revealed that the suspects confessed that the plots were hatched in Ndeeba and suspects were asked to commit the crimes in exchange for wealth.

Now, a crossing to MP Francis Zaake, Ssegirinya and Ssewanyana have been released on a one-day police bond and asked to report back to Masaka police station at midday.

“Our comrades Hon Ssegirinya and Hon Ssewanyana have been released on one-day police bond but ordered to report back to Masaka police station tomorrow at midday. #WeShallOvercome  #WeAreRemovingADictator,” Zaake wrote on Facebook.
