Ssegirinya Muhammad, the newly elected Member of Parliament for Kawempe North is in trouble after the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) has revealed that the yet-to-be sworn-in MP’s used forged academic documents.
According to a letter issued by Mr. Peter Anywar, the UNEB Executive Secretary, the UNEB candidate numbers on Ssegirinya’s O level and A level belong to other people.
“Candidate U0053/054 (2007 is Nampiima Sarah who sat at Mengo Secondary School not Ssegirinya Richard sitting at Pimba’s Secondary School,” part of the letter reads.
“Candidate U0053/754 (2009) is Nabadda Maureen who sat at Mengo Secondary School not Ssegirinya Richard sitting at Pimbas Secondary School,” the letter reads further.
UNEB’s letter further indicated that both serial numbers on Ssegirinya’s academic certificates are fake, therefore the documents were not issued by the board.
The next step will be revealed after court’s ruling to see whether “Mr. Updates” will go to parliament or he’ll remain on the streets of Kawempe.
Below are the documents;
