President Yoweri Museveni has reappointed Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba as the Commander of the elite Special Forces Command (SFC).
Muhoozi, served previously as the founding commander of the force which is charged among others with the security of the President and Commander in Chief.
It should be remembered that Muhoozi comes into the new position after he has been serving as Senior Presidential Adviser for Special Operations since 2017.
In the same vein, Brig Lokech has been appointed Deputy Inspector General of Police D/IGP replacing Maj Gen Sabiiti Muzeeyi who has been returned to Military Head Quarters for redeployment.
James Birungi since June 2019, he has been the commander of the Special Forces Command (SFC), a position he held after replacing Major General Don William Nabasa, who left Uganda to attend a course at the National Defence College in China.
Don Nabasa was chief of air force staff of Uganda Air Force from 2016 to 2019, before being replaced by Col. Emmanuel Kwihangana.
