Museveni spits fire over Komamboga bomb explosions
President Yoweri Museveni has finally spoken out following a suspected bombing incident that went off last night at Komamboga, a prominent place in Kyanja, Kawempe that houses pork joints and bars.

The incident happened at about 9pm and two people are said to have died and scores injured.

”I have been briefed on the bomb incident in Kwata zone, Komamboga. The Information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in Caverta which later on exploded, killing 1 person and injuring 5 others.  It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators” Museveni said in a statement.

Museveni further noted that Police Specialists are on the ground investigating the whole incident. They will give us more information later. They will also give guidelines on vigilance by the Public dealing with these possible terrorists.

He however said that the public should not fear, we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life.

Police say they’ve not yet established the cause of the blast that happened at Digida Eating point at 9pm in Komamboga Kawempe division.

According to Fred Enanga the police’s spokesperson the joint bomb squads were sent on ground to document the scene to help determine whether the explosion arose out of an intentional act or not.

Few weeks ago Washington and London issued terror threats in Uganda and police urged Ugandans to be alert.
