The Ligue 1 champions are the first team through to Sunday night’s showpiece in Lisbon after their ruthlessly saw off the Bundesliga side in the Portuguese capital.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were better than their Bundesliga opponents throughout, and took the lead when Marquinhos followed up his quarter-final goal against Atalanta with a header from Angel di Maria’s free-kick.

So much of PSG’s recent Champions League history has been about their perceived lack of hunger for the fight, something which has manifested itself in memorable defeats from the jaws of victory.

The problem when you’re a club who operate with the model that Leipzig do is that you’re often left shorn of experienced players when you need them most.

There was no-one to put their foot on the ball here and to help play his side into the game, most notably at the start of the second half when they just looked to have got a foothold before conceding the third, and killer goal.

So, what type of final are we in for?
