Retired police officer arrested for defiling 17-year old teenager with mental illness

Police in Otuke District has arrested a 47-year old retired Police officer, for allegedly defiling a 17-year old teenager with a mental illness.

The retired cop, who is a resident of Adwari Sub-county in Otuke District, reportedly lured the teenager to his house with Shs 4,000, before raping her.

The arrest was confirmed by North Kyoga police spokesperson, Patrick Jimmy Okema saying the police is still doing more investigations on the general mental status of the accused.

According to Okema, a medical report has been issued to confirm the sexual abuse on the victim and they are yet to establish the accused’s HIV status which may change the case.
