Shocking secrets about newly promoted deputy CMI chief Abdul Rugumayo leaked- Here is what you didn’t know

Following the news about his promotion on Wednesday evening, government Spokesperson Ofwono Opondo who was congratulating Col Abdul Rugumayo, the Deputy Commander of Chieftaincy Military Intelligence (CMI) upon his promotion revealed that the experienced officer is a survivor who has gone through hell to reach where he is today.

Abdul Rugumayo is among the 76 officers who were promoted by president Museveni promoted yesterday.

”H.E the President and C-in-C of UPDF has promoted 76 UPDF Officers. Among them, D/CMI Col Abdul Rugumayo to Brig Gen. 62 promoted from Capt to Maj & 13 from Lt to Capt. MODVA & UPDF congratulate the officers for the well-deserved promotions” UPDF Spokesperson Brig. Felix Kulaigye announced on Twitter.

However, upon the announcement, Ofwono Opondo took it to his Twitter to reveal some secrets that perhaps the country had no idea about.

“This officer is a survivor! I remember when he was shot between Bobi-Palenga on Gulu road in 2002. He had his buttocks glazed by bullets. Later in 2009 he survived a bomb explosion in Mogadishu & woke up in a Nairobi hospital. Congratulations for the long journey brother!” Opondo said

Abdul Rugumayo has been promoted from the rank of colonel to that of brigadier general.
