Skin Guard Partners With Jumia To Reward 1,000 Online Shoppers With Free Hand Sanitizers To Combat COVID-19 Pandemic.

Skin Guard, the antibacterial skincare a brand of Movit Products, Uganda’s leading cosmetics manufacturer, has announced a partnership with Jumia, the largest online retail store in Uganda to reward 1,000 online shoppers with free Skin Guard Hand Sanitizers in an effort to combat the spread of COVID-19.

The announcement was made by Mr. Stephen Mukisa, the Senior Manager-Brand Management at Movit Products together with Mr. Ron Kawamara, Jumia Uganda’s Chief Executive Officer at a handover ceremony of the hand sanitizers held at the Jumia Head Office in Kampala.

Announcing the partnership, Mr. Mukisa, said, “Skin Guard is excited to join Jumia Uganda’s 9th-anniversary celebration by supporting our customers in the fight against the resurging Covid-19 pandemic. This partnership will deliver Skin Guard’s premier hand sanitizer for free to up 1,000 shoppers who place express orders on the Jumia platform starting on 29th June 2021. As a company, we believe there is no better way to mark Jumia’s milestone than to provide guaranteed skin protection, our brand’s promise, to shoppers when they need it the most.” Mr. Mukisa said.

“In doing this”, he added, “Skin Guard is standing with Ugandans in their bid to protect themselves against the deadly COVID-19 by promoting healthy and safe living during the current pandemic.” As at June 26th, Uganda had recorded over 956 deaths and 79,089 cumulative cases of COVID-19 while more than 51,000 people have recovered from the disease, according to the Ministry of Health.

Welcoming the partnership Mr. Ron Kawamara said, “Uganda is going through an unprecedented Covid-19 crisis that has devastated families all over the country. We appreciate Movit Products for this generous support of sanitizers that will help thousands of families stay safe.”

Skin Guard, which is available on Jumia, comes in a wide range of products including; Skin Guard Antibacterial Hand Wash, Skin Guard Antibacterial Soap, Skin Guard Antibacterial Jelly and Skin Guard Hand Sanitizers in both liquid and gel for individual, corporate and institutional use. The products are available in different sizes.
