Stop cheating people with exorbitant consultation fees: MP betty Nambooze to private health facilities

Mukono Municipality Member of Parliament, Nambooze Kaireke has urged proprietors of private clinics, especially in slums areas to reduce or remove consultation fees they charge patients upon visiting medical facilities which she says limits people from going to health facilities.
According to Nambooze, most people go to the hospital when they actually know their illness and upon visiting the hospital they are charged both consultation fees and treatment fees and such exorbitant fees have led many to resort to staying home and practicing self-medication.

Nmabooze made the remarks while she was speaking during a free screening and testing of HIV and Hepatitis B to over 200 residents in Mukoko organized by Angle medical care as it opens its branch in Mukono municipality.
According to Dr. David Musenze Lubega, the director of angel medical care, their focus was to remind the public that HIV/AIDs is still existing and leaders should take the mantle against the spread of this disease.
