Tears and agony as two mothers slaughter their Children In Cold Blood

Police in Buikwe and Luwero is investigating two separate gruesome murders by mentally ill mothers of their young children of two years.

According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, at around 7:00pm on September 6, 2021, a one Nakyanzi Rachael, 30 picked up her biological daughter and took her inside the house and then got a knife and slit the young girl’s throat. The house belongs to the little girl’s grandmother.

 Fred Enanga says experts examined the suspect upon arrest and they found her to be on unsound mind and further transferred her to Butabika Hospital.

‘’And then on 10.09.2021, at around 6:00pm, police received a report where a one Yudayah, a 30-year-old, mentally ill mother, while at Bukolwa Gwafwa, Katikamu sub-county in Luwero, picked a hoe and cut her two year old daughter Winnie Mercy to the neck,’’ Enanga said,

Fred Enanga further said the victim in the second murder bled to death. The police arrested the suspect soon afterward.

‘’We continue to face murders arising out of mental disorders. Such murders are exacerbated by health and domestic challenges that need to be addressed. We should all remember that all children however young, have a right to life and well-being, which rights must be observed,’’ he added.
