Total Lockdown Looms As Museveni Is Set To Address The Nation Today Over Surging Covid-19 Cases

 

President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta is set to address the nation today  (Friday) June 18th 2021 to brief Ugandans about the current COVID-19 situation.

The development has been confirmed by Nabusayi Lindah Wamboka the presidential press secretary on her official Twitter account.

“@KagutaMuseveni is set to address the nation today to brief Ugandans about the current #Covid19Ug situation. Please tune in to all Television and Radio stations at 8pm.”- the tweet reads.

President Museveni returns to talk to Ugandans after his 6th June address that imposed 42 days of partial lockdown to the country as a means of curtailing the current spread of Covid19.

Museveni’s address comes at a time when Uganda has registered 67, 215 Cumulative confirmed cases with 524 deaths registered since  Corona Virus broke out in March 2020.
