Uganda Registers Another Record Of Highest COVID-19 Recoveries In One Day
The Ministry of Health in Uganda has recorded another big record of people recovering from COVID19 in one day since the outbreak in March last year
According to the Ministry, 687 people have recovered from Covid-19 in the past 24 hours increasing the country’s cumulative recoveries to 54,845.
The statistics from the Ministry also confirm 770 new cases from 7,084 samples tested on 1st July 2021 hiking the country’s cumulative cases to 82,852 from 1,348,266 total samples tested so far.
The Ministry also registered 37 people who have lost the battle to COVID-19 in the last 24 hours rising the cumulative deaths toll to 1,910.
990,902 Ugandans have so far been vaccinated against the deadly pandemic as 1,086 are still admitted battling the disease.
The 770 new cases are contacts and alert 267 of whom Kampala, Wakiso 107, Buikwe 35, Masaka 23, Bushenyi 19, Luwero 16, Kyotera 17, Hoima 15, Kisoro and Kabale with 14 cases each, Ibanda 13, Buvuma 12, Jinja 11, Namisindwa, Kalungu, Gomba,Tororo and Kazo each registered 10 cases, Kanungu, Mitooma, Bududa and Amuru each with 9 cases.
Kabarole, Rubirizi and Kayunga each with 8 cases, Kiryandongo 7, Moroto 6, Kasese, Gulu, Manafwa Bulambuli and Mbale each registering 5 cases, Sheema,Nakasongola, Mayuge, Soroti, Bunyangabu with 4 cases each.
Others include, Packwach, Busia, Pallisa, Arua, Luwero, Adjumani and Namayingo 3 cases each, Amudat, Kyegegwa and Kamuli 2 cases each, Kyenjojo, Nakapiripirit, Masindi, Kumi, Rubanda, Butaleja, Kaliro, Buhweju, Mubende, Mityana, Bukedea, Kibuku with each registering one case.
