Uganda Registers Highest Number Of Covid-19 Recoveries In One Day

The Ministry of Health in Uganda has recorded 1,127 new COVID-19 recoveries in one day.

The new recoveries increase the Country’s Cumulative recoveries to 68,241

From the results of COVID-19 tests done on 17th July 2021, the Ministry registered 265 new cases out of 3,623 samples tested. 

These new cases increase Uganda’s cumulative confirmed cases to 90,656 indicating a test positivity rate 7.3%

Uganda has to date conducted a Cumulative of 1,427,897 test samples and total vaccine doses administered against COVID-19 tally to 1,101,431.

In a related development, 39 new fatalities have been confirmed in 24 hours bringing to 2,392 Cumulative deaths.

The new cases include 262 Contacts and Alerts with 99 from Kampala, Kalaki 18, Kibuku 1, Mbale 11, Kagadi 11, Pallisa 10, Wakiso 13, Nabitaluk 7, Kyankwanzi 7, Moroto 6, Kumi 6, Nakapiripirit 5, Buliisa 5, Luwero 5, Tororo 4, Isingiro 3, Nakasongola 3, Kakumiro 3, Masaka 3, Sironko 2, Bududa 2 and Mubende 2.

Others are Busia 2, Butambala 2, Hoima 2, Mityana 2, Ntungamo 1, Kiboga 1, Rukungiri 1, Lira 1, Mbarara 1, Amuria 1, Kabale 1, Mukono 1, Kotido 1, Amudat 1, Kiryandongo 1, Masindi 1 and Kyotera 1.

3 other cases are Truck Drivers confirmed at Mutukula 2 and Elegu 1.
