UNEB Set To Release PLE Results

The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) will on Wednesday, July 14th 2021 brief the Minister for Education and Sports Janet Museveni on the 2020 Primary Leaving Examination Results.

According to a top UNEB official, the meeting will be held at State House Nakasero and an official release date of 2020 will be communicated.

The closed-door meeting is expected to be attended by UNEB Executive Secretary Dan Odongo together with UNEB Chairperson Prof Mary Okwakol who will brief Education Ministry officials including First Lady on the performance of students.

According to the Ministry official, the meeting will also be attended by Hon John Chrysestom Muyingo who is the State Minister for Higher Education, Ms. Joyce Moriku Kaducu, the Minister of State for Primary Education and Alex Kakooza, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Education among others.

UNEB had postponed the release of 2020 national examination results citing new coronavirus containment protocols announced by the President which was scheduled to be released at the end of June.

UNEB spokesperson Jennifer Kalule Musumba, recently said the release of the examination program had been affected by the COVID19 restrictions but said that although the schools are currently closed, UNEB needs to ensure that examination results are released earlier so as to fit in the available school calendar.
