Residents of Bushenyi district are currently living in fear and panic after the suspected machete-wielding assailants dropped leaflets warning them of possible attacks after terrorizing the Masaka sub-region in the last one month leaving over 26 people dead.
According to residents who ran making alarms on different social media platforms, different leaflets indicating that the Bijambiyas are coming to Bushenyi are being found in different parts of the District.
A resident from Ishaka in Bushenyi Ishaka Municipality who preferred anonymity said on one of the leaflets, the alleged Bijambiyas noted that they want 27 heads just over the weekend.
“We are coming to Bushenyi just wait for us because they have chased us in Masaka” reads one of the letters dropped in Bushenyi
The heartless assailants have been terrorizing lives in Masaka, Mityana, Wakiso and some other districts of Central Uganda.
According to police and other security operatives, the killings have been linked to politicians who are suspected to be funding the deadly activities among them including Kawempe north member of parliament Ssegirinya Mohammad and Allam Ssewanyana who were summoned last week to appear for questioning at Masaka regional police.
The two who appeared for questioning yesterday were released on police bond and have appeared again for more questioning in regard to the killings.
